AI presentation tool Gamma announced in November 2025 that it surpassed $100 million in ARR — profitably — while raising a $68 million Series B led by a16z at a $2.1 billion valuation. The New York Times noted the five-year-old company has just 52 employees.

In Gamma's own press release, the 100-million figure is $100M of ARR, not a user count — an earlier version of this piece (and its old headline) conflated the two. We corrected it on September 21, 2026 and renamed the article's address accordingly; the old link redirects here. Gamma's publicly cited profile is "$100 million ARR and 70 million users" (see Gamma's Stripe customer story), i.e. a user base of roughly 70 million.

Users simply enter a topic or paste a document and Gamma generates a complete deck with layout and imagery, positioning itself as 'PowerPoint for the AI era.' Its path to high growth and profitability with a tiny team is seen as a benchmark case for AI application-layer commercialization.

Peers like Beautiful.ai are also growing fast, and Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides have fully integrated AI generation. Analysts say AI presentation tools are redefining office productivity.
